Im Forschungsschwerpunkt ESS werden die momentanen und zukünftigen Forschungsfragen bearbeitet, um damit Kommunen, Städte und Versorger bei den Herausforderungen der Transformation der städtischen Energieinfrastrukturen und der Kopplung der Sektoren Strom, Wärme und Verkehr im urbanen Bereich zu unterstützen.
