The globalization of the academic labor market leads to an increasing, continuous and repeated cross-border mobility of academics in higher education institutions.
In this project, career paths and career conditions of international professors at German universities are empirically examined. A sample of "international professors," defined as all those with past or present foreign citizenship, is being studied under the assumption that the globalization of labor markets for academics generates new  "transnational" phenomena.
