In a randomized control trial we assessed the effect of online courses in schools on study outcomes, intentions, and career-related choices of pupils to become an opportunity-driven entrepreneur or choose a STEM type of education. We worked with 15-17-year-old students in 110 schools (around 15 000 students) in Ecuador (before and during the COVID-19 outbreak). We randomly assigned schools either to treatment (and receiving the entrepreneurship-related online course), or placebo-control (receiving a placebo treatment of online courses from standard curricula) groups. The current presentation will focus on the short-term impact of the program on the choices and life of the students.
