  • 27 September - 01 October 2010: Methods Workshop in Kassel Apart from the presentation of research proposals and holding sessions on particular methodological issues, one of the main aims of this workshop will be to reflect on interdisciplinary research. For entering into an interdisciplinary dialogue, participants will explore into practical problems in "supply chain management" during a day of worksite visits. These insights will subsequently be reflected on a more theoretical level in plenary and working group sessions on this topic. Moreover, the PhD candidates will introduce core texts on problems of their "home discipline" and discuss them with their colleagues. Finally, they will reflect on the potentials and limits of interdisciplinary research in a plenary session with faculty members.   • 07 October 2010: World Day of Decent Work: On October 7th the International Trade Union Confederation is going to convene the 3rd World Day for Decent Work in order to draw the world’s attention to the impact the financial crisis had and still has on employment the world over.There are still countries and sectors where workers are deprived of their right to form a trade union and to engage in collective bargaining.The World Day for Decent Work is a platform for campaigns for decent work and decent life all over the world.
