Mission

The activities of the Chair for International Direct Marketing, endowed in 2006 by the Siegfried Vögele Institute, meet  recent challenges of intercultural customer dialogues . The lectures, research projects, and cooperations with partners in direct marketing and distance selling are characterized by the professional use of modern digital communication technologies and its combination with established direct marketing media, for instance catalogues, advertising letters, and customer magazines.

Renowned scientists and practice partners are always welcome to hold lectures, present projects, and participate in our research activities.

We are driven by a consequent quantitative orientation and the empirical investigation of current developments in international markets. Our current projects can be assigned to the area of Social Media and network analysis, customer clubs, luxury, targeting and international negotiation research.

We are always interested in a coorporation with other researchers as well as partners from practice and aim to extend our international research network for direct marketing.

Our lectures are based on our research activities and offer the participants, apart from the reference to professional practice, a insights into current research-related discussions. Students are encouraged to conduct own studies and to present the research designs and results in our lectures and seminars. We motivate students to work on conference presentations and first publications based on outstanding results.
