Press Release: "Licht an im Club": Was passiert bei chemischen Reaktionen?

When molecules form new compounds in chemical reactions, they are - for unimaginably short periods of time - in so-called transition states: no longer in their original structures, not yet in those of the reaction products. It is not yet clear what exactly happens in this state of limbo. A professor from the University of Kassel now wants to find out and the results would be of fundamental importance for chemical processes in general.
