... via public transportation:

Bus and tram stops in the immediate vicinity of the university

  • Korbacher Straße/Universität: Straßenbahn (tram) line 4
  • Heinrich-Plett-Straße: Straßenbahn (tram) lines 4 and 6, bus line 12

...by train:

Take the train to the Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe station. From the platform in front of the train station, take Straßenbahn (tram) line 4 in the direction of Mattenberg. Get off the tram at the Korbacher-Straße-Universität stop. Cross the street at the tram stop and walk approximately 150 metres straight ahead.

...by car from the west:

Take the A44 highway to the Südkreuz Kassel (southern interchange). From there, take the A49 in the direction of Kassel-Innenstadt (downtown Kassel). Exit the highway at Kassel-Niederzwehren and follow Frankfurter Straße into the city. Approximately 500 metres past the Jet petrol station, turn left onto Altenbaunaer Straße. Cross two sets of tram tracks, then turn right onto Oberzwehrener Straße. At the next traffic lights, turn left onto Korbacher Straße, then left again after approximately 150 metres onto Heinrich-Plett-Straße.

...by car from the north and south:

Take the A7 highway to the Kassel interchange. From there, take the A49 in the direction of Marburg.  Exit the highway at Kassel-Niederzwehren and follow Frankfurter Straße into the city. Approximately 500 metres past the Jet petrol station, turn left onto Altenbaunaer Straße. Cross two sets of tram tracks, then turn right onto Oberzwehrener Straße. ...by plane:

The most convenient international airports in the area are located in Frankfurt am Main and Hannover. From either airport, take the ICE train to the Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe station, then follow the “Arriving in Kassel by train” directions below.
