Conditions of Use CampusEvent

On this page, you will receive information on the conditions for participation of the events of the Graduate Academy and its cooperation partners. Within the frame of the programme “Development and management of research projects” (“Entwicklung und Management von Forschungsprojekten“) (EMF) this is the Philipps Universität Marburg and within the frame of the programme “quali.prof@haw” this is the University of Applied Sciences Fulda.

Should you have technical questions regarding the system of Campus Events, please send us an email to wiss-nachwuchs@uni-kassel.de. With regards to content of the programmes, please find the respective contact person and their contact details at the end of this site.

A registration for the events is possible via the platform Campus Events: www.unikassel.de/go/ga-kalender

The participation in the further qualification programmes of the Graduate Academy and its cooperation partners require a previous subject to agreement to the conditions of use. By registering for the programmes, the participants state their agreement to said conditions.

The registration for the participation in further qualification programmes of the Graduate Academy – especially within the frame of the programmes “Kassel Graduate Programme,” “Entwicklung und Management von Forschungsprojekten” as well as “quali.prof@haw” – may occur until the given closing date. Should there be a capacity of places, the exceptional case of registering after the closing date is possible. The registrations will be processed by the order of their receipt in the event tool Campus Events.

For most of the events there is a two-stage process of registration:

  1. First of all you will have to apply for the authorisation of your status with regards to the question if you belong to the event’s target group (so-called participant restriction; “Teilnahmerestiktion”)
  2. If your status and your general participant eligibility has been authorised and you have been permitted to participate in the event, the second step occurs in which you will make a binding and (dependent on the respective programme) fee-paying reservation. You will then receive an automatised registration confirmation via email. As for events with costs you will receive an email with the bill.

Should occur any changes after the registration, you will receive a separate notification from us.
If there have already been more registrations than places available for the event, a note will appear, saying: “Unfortunately, this event is fully booked .” In this case, there is usually a waiting list.

The further-qualification programmes with their events of the Graduate Academy and its cooperation partners are usually addressed to young academics and the next generation of artists. If events are addressed to certain subgroups of young academics or the next generation of artists, or if they are exclusively for members of the programmes “Kassel Graduate Programme,” “Development and management of research projects” or “quali.prof@haw” or if there are any other requirements, this will be clearly stated in the event’s description.
If you would like to attend an event during your working time, please speak to your superior before you register for it.

By participating in the further-qualification offers of the Graduate Academy of the University of Kassel, the programme “Development and management of research projects” of the University of Kassel in cooperation with the Philipps Universität Marburg as well as the programme “quali.prof@haw” of the University of Kassel and the University of Applied Sciences Fulda, you agree to the storage of your personal data, which is required for the organisation and the execution of the further qualification. We collect and use your personal data exclusively within the frame of the given legal requirements of the Federal Republic of Germany. You can withdraw from this agreement at any times with effect for the future.
The essential data are necessary for the execution of the further qualification, which is why it is not possible to participate without the agreement to the reduction of said data. The agreement has an impact on subsequent changes or extension of the data.
By registering, you as a participant agree that, within the frame of a verification of a participation eligibility, the University is authorized to match your data to those that have been stored for other purposes (e.g., graduation data bank or personnel administration) at the University of Kassel, the Philipps University of Marburg as well as the Hochschule Fulda. This issue is extended to legally existent and, if applicable, restricted data after your discharge. The matching of data is limited to the essential data for the participation in further qualification programmes. You explicitly agree to the use with an alteration of the purpose and to the use of restricted data that are connected to the matching of data.
The aforementioned agreements can be withdrawn from completely or partly at any time independently with effect for the future. A formal document is not necessary for this. For the withdrawal, please contact:

The events of the Graduate Academy and its cooperation partners follow the scale of fees of the respective programme (for EMF http://www.unikassel.de/go/emf-gebuehrenordnung/ , for Kassel Graduate Programme) http://www.unikassel.de/go/kgp-gebuehrenordnung/  ). Please also see the event description for the participation fees. The participation fees usually differentiate internal (members of staff, scholarship holders, doctoral candidates etc.) and external participants.

The participation in the programme „quali.prof@haw“ is free of charge.

In the case of being unable to participate in an event, you are obligated to withdraw from it. You can send the withdrawal via Campus Events or via an email to wiss-nachwuchs@uni-kassel.de.
Please withdraw from the event even at short notice or if you would like to be taken off the waiting list, in order to give away your reserved place.

A refund of the participation fees, however, is only possible until the deadline for registration or, in the case of the site Kassel, if a person from the waiting list succeeds.

Should an event be fully booked, there will usually be a waiting list for which you can register. Should a place get vacant, the distribution will occur in the order of the registering for the waiting list.

If there have not been enough registrations for an event until the registration deadline or unforeseen circumstances occur, the event can be cancelled. The participants will be informed about this; potential participation fees will be refunded.

In the events for further qualification there will usually be kept lists of attendance. Please confirm your attendance in events held in presence by signing the list on every day of the event. The lists contain data regarding your name, first name and (special) field. In online events your attendance will be confirmed by the workshop’s lecturer for every workshop day. In workshops and break-out-group coaching, you will receive an automatically generated certificate of attendance as a pdf file via email. As for informative meetings, the certificates of attendance will only be generated upon request and prior information.
