Come enjoy yourself in our Folk Dance and Culinary Workshop!! We will meet 4 times.   Grimm caching

Once upon a time?.. Kassel, a city in the heart of the German Fairy-Tale Route (Märchenstraße) and home to the most famous writers of folk tal es in the German speaking world, offers us multi-faceted opportunities to explore the realm of Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm. Situated in a beautiful, hilly scenery in the lush green of the Kasseler Berge (Kassel hills), we will follow the trail of the Brothers Grimm in Kassel who spent their most fruitful phase in the city now hosting the "documenta".
The workshop activities you will encounter revolve around the Brothers Grimm and the German fairy tales. Like in the worldwide popular sport "Geocaching", you will participate in a game of hiding and seeking treasures in Kassel. Try to gather as much information about the Grimms on site as possible and learn more about the two brothers who rank among the most formative figures of German literature and language. Don't miss out!

Lecturer: Jens Magersuppe

Exploring the "documenta" Modern Art Heritage

Did you know that Kassel hosts the biggest and most prestigious exhibition of modern art worldwide? The Documenta takes place every five years. Kassel is a city bursting with art and the reminents of the documentas from past years. Learn about what this exhibition means to this cultural city and to the art community. You will explore the heritage of past exhibitions, traces of which can be found all over the city giving Kassel its unique and inspiring character.
