Studienkolleg - Entrance Test

The information on this page is designed for those undergraduate applicants who have to attend a Studienkolleg (University Prepatory College) before taking up their degree course. Please see the information on entrance requirements for details

You can take part in the Studienkolleg entrance test if you have applied to a degree course at the University of Kassel or the Fachhochschule Fulda, and have been conditionally accepted to study (bedingte Zulassung zum Studium).

You will be invited to the entrance test by letter.

In the entrance test, your command of the German language will be assessed. If there are more applicants than places, those applicants who have the best results will be admitted.

In order to be admitted to the Studienkolleg, your command of German must at least be equivalent to the Goethe Institute's Grundstufe level (see the information on language requirements). Since the Studienkolleg entrance test can be very competitive, good German language skills will increase your chances of being admitted.
