About us
The departments participating in the CliMA are working successfully in an interdisciplinary way within the "Network Environment" and in the research groups
- regarding the main areas water, bioenergy, environmental-friendly construction, renewable energies and rational use of energy, sustainable material flow systems
- the joint research project „KLIMZUG-Nordhessen“ in the framework Klimzug-Programm funded by the BMBF
- the Graduate Center for Environmental Sciences (gradC) and
- the master programms „Regenerative Energien und Energieeffizienz“, „Nachhaltiges Wirtschaften“ and " Umweltrecht"
All of the mentioned research areas offer the special oppurtunity to cooperate with our research partners. In practice, in the core areas of climate change mitigation and climate change adaptation cooperations with the Helmholtz Center for Environmental Research and within the KLIMZUG-Project, with the University of Oldenburg and the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment, Energy are intensive and substantial. The Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy is an international well known climate change protection think tank and excellent research partner. Especially in the fields of engineering, architecture, planning and social sciences we add our competences and complement the competences of our research partner.
The cooperations with the University of Applied Sciences Fulda (regarding health care) and the University of Göttingen (regarding forest science) exist within the joint research project "Klimaanpassungsnetzwerk Nordhessen".
