On November 20, 2017, Klaus David and Immanuel König took part in the C/sells regional conference in Hesse at the Bürgersaal Kassel.

"Three characteristics of future energy grids form the guiding principle of the large-scale C/sells showcase project: cellularity, participation and diversity. This guiding principle is demonstrated with an infrastructure information system, an intelligent coordination cascade between the grid operators and regional markets open to all producers and consumers. The aim of the Hessian sub-project is the conception and model implementation of a regional flexibility market. This is to be designed as a prototype and ensure the balancing of the fluctuating energy supply from renewable energies at a decentralized level. On the supply side, the potential of household, commercial and industrial customers to serve the grid and the market is to be identified and then prepared for use to stabilize the grids and the electricity system. Sector coupling plays an important role in this.
