Loren Britton to Participate in the Work Session "Networks with an Attitude"

GeDIS researcher and artist Loren Britton will take part in a week-long work session on networks, organised by Constant collective. The event takes place on 7-13 April 2019 in Antwerp, Belgium.

The work session will interrogate what networks are, and what kind of disadvantages and advantages they hold, both conceptually and in different (artistic, technological, activist) practices. It will be structured by two opposing attitudes: that internet is something to be avoided, and, on the other hand, that existing infrastructures and historical protocols need to be re-appropriated for other means.

Constant is a non-profit, artist-run organisation based in Brussels since 1997 and active in the fields of art, media and technology. For more information about the Networks with an Attitude work session, see their website. The work session will bring together participants from different disciplinary backgrounds. Loren Britton will be attending the work session as part of the CF+ project.
