On 14 September 2020 the 4th edition of the "Interactive Adaptive Learning" workshop took place at the ECMLPKDD. The IES was also heavily involved in the organization and we are pleased that the workshop was very successful. Although the ECMLPKDD could only take place virtually this year, we welcomed up to 40 participants. In addition to the presentations of accepted publications, we also had four invited talks by Andreas Holzinger (Graz), Eyke Hüllermeier (Paderborn), Robert Munro (USA) and Kori Inkpen (Microsoft).
