Since the summer semester of 2005, Professor Zacharias has taught a total of 36 semesters of Power Electronics, Magnetic Devices and other courses at the University of Kassel. Professor Zacharias has numerous awards and book publications to his credit, as well as successfully completed research projects and industrial collaborations.

Yesterday, Sept. 28, 2023, Professor Zacharias celebrated his retirement together with many companions. Samuel Araujo, former group leader of the Department of Electrical Power Systems (EVS), Prof. Mike Meinhardt and Prof. Clemens Hoffmann recalled numerous events from the last 18 years in flashbacks.
