ComTec at the UbiComp 2014 conference

ComTec was once again represented at the increasingly popular "International Joint Conference on Pervasive and Ubiquitous Computing" (UbiComp 2014), which took place this year in Seattle, USA. The keynote speeches by Amy Ross, head of space suit development at NASA, and Professor Gaetano Borriello, who as director of Intel Research Seattle, for example, conducted fundamental research in the field of WiFi localization, attracted around 30% more participants than in the previous year.

ComTec organized the "Workshop on recent advances in behavior prediction and pro-active pervasive computing" (AwareCast) for the third time as part of UbiComp, which once again attracted dozens of participants following its opening by Professor David. Dennis Kroll also gave his presentation on the workshop contribution "Event Driven Time Synchronization of Mobile Devices".
