Power Electronics Department with two contributions at IECON2025 in Madrid

The Power Electronics department was represented by Lennart Hoffmann and Ahmad Ali Nazeri with two conference contributions at IEEE IECON 2025 in Madrid.

At the beginning of October, Lennart Hoffmann and Ahmad Ali Nazeri presented their latest research at the 51st IECON Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES) in Madrid.

The first paper, entitled “Optimized Control Strategy for LCL-Filtered Three-Phase Voltage-Source Converters in Adverse Grid Conditions,” presents two optimized control methods for three-phase grid-connected inverters with LCL filters to suppress current harmonics caused by dead times and grid distortions.

The second paper, entitled “Characterization of Mutual Coupling for DC-Biased Controllable Magnetic Devices,” deals with a measurement-based method for quantifying mutual coupling in actively pre-magnetized magnetic cores and highlights the differences between orthogonal and mixed pre-magnetization. This improves the understanding of coupling mechanisms and supports the development of controllable magnetic components for power electronics applications.

The IECON conference is an important meeting place for the international power electronics community, and we would like to express our sincere thanks for the inspiring and enriching exchange.
