The lecture “Einführung in C” is not and won't be offered anymore. An exam is still possible. The content of part 1 of “Labor C/Embedded Systems” is similar to “Einführung in C”. Enroll to that course, there information regarding the exam for “Einführung in C” will be communicated, too.

Start date of exercises: Wednesday, 04/14/2021 (expected)

The lecture and the exercise-events will be held digitally. There will be provided videos (for download, no streams) that will accompany and explain the supplied lecture-slides, the organizational procedure, and the exercises. The regular lecture will be completely substituted by these videos. All relevant materials can be found by 04/13/2021 at the moodle-website. Please note, that this is only part I of the module “Labor C/Embedded Systems” and that this part will be closed with a study-achievement mid of May. After successfully passing study-achievement, part II of the module can be attended, where that part is offered by different departments. Please note, additionally, that the language used in the complete module “Labor C/Embedded Systems” will be German.

Start date: End of May/Beginning of June 2021 (not sooner)

Dependent on the contact-regulations then and on the result of the study-achievement in part 1, in one of the participating departments a practical lab-course can be attended. This part will be graded. Informations regarding this part of the module will be given during part 1 of the module. The hyperlink shown here directs to the moodle-website of the part offered by IES. Other links, directing to the offers of the other departments, will be announced in part 1 of „Labor C/Embedded Systems“. Please note that atrendance of this part will be possible in only in one of the participating departments. Please note, additionally, that the language used in the complete module “Labor C/Embedded Systems” will be German.

Due to the current circumstances, this lab is designed in a flipped classroom concept. This means, students acquire knowledge on their own by means of videos, slides and other material. Support is provided in form of a tutorial and a joint conclusion of the respective subject area at the end of each week. The lab will be digitally to a large extent.

If you are interested, please register in the Moodle course. There you will receive further information. Don‘t forget to fill out the application form in Moodle, if you want to participate. This is necessary since this course has a restriction on the number of participants.

Beginn der Veranstaltung: Dienstag den 13.04.2021

Im Labor Data Mining and Machine Learning erlernen Sie die Grundlagen einer Datenauswertung von der Vorverarbeitung über das Extrahieren von Wissen aus Daten bis hin zur Auswertung von automatisierten Methoden. Im ersten Teil der Lehrveranstaltung lernen Sie grundlegende Konzepte, Methoden und Anwendungen der Mustererkennung im Data Mining kennen. Während regelmäßiger Treffen tauschen Sie sich mit Ihren Kommilitonen aus, um weitere Fragen zu diskutieren. Im zweiten Teil des Kurses vertiefen Sie Ihre Kenntnisse im Rahmen eines Projektes, bei dem die praktische Anwendung des Erlernten im Vordergrund steht. Der Kurs wird anhand der Leistung bei Projektpräsentationen und der abschließenden Dokumentation bewertet.

Due to the corona pandemic, both lectures and exercises will take place digitally. Lectures, as well as solutions to exercises, will be made available via Panopto. Furthermore, there will be weekly Q&A sessions starting on the dates mentioned above. In these sessions, students will be able to ask questions and discuss issues in greater depth. Please register for the moodle course, which contains further instructions on how to participate.

The lecture starts on Monday (04/12/2021) from 10:15 to 11:45.

The exercise is on Wednesday (04/21/2021) from 10:15 to 11:45.

Due to the pandemic, the lecture as well as the exercise take place online (using Zoom), there will be no physical attendance this semester. Please register in the moodle course, where further instructions regarding the participation via Zoom are available.
