The material of the lecture will be taught according to the teaching concept "Flipped Classroom" in the form of videos. Accompanying the videos, there will be weekly live sessions in which Prof. Sick will discuss further questions with you to deepen your understanding. In addition, there is a short summary of the material from the previous week and a preview of the material for the coming week.
The exercise sheets are provided every Monday. The solutions are uploaded one week later after the last exercise. Only presence exercises are offered in which the exercises can be discussed. Please note that every 2nd exercise sheet (exercises 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12) contains assignments to be handed in. These tasks have to be handed in via Moodle until next Sunday, 23:59. In order to be admitted to the exam, at least 5 of the 6 exercises to be handed in must be passed with at least 50% of the points each (academic performance). Students who have already been admitted to the written exam in previous semesters are free to hand in the solutions again and receive a correction.

After passing the course work in the first part of the module (C/Embedded Systems Part 1 (theory lecture)), students must participate in a laboratory practical in exactly one subject area in order to achieve the module objective and complete the module with a grade. Information on (registering for) the second part will be announced on the moodle page of part 1; therefore, the moodle link given here also leads to the first module part.

The event will take place in a flipped classroom format. It will start on 25 October 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with a welcome event in which participants will be introduced to the event and learning objectives and also the timetable of the event. After this start date, weekly lecture videos will be made available and also self-learning exercises with Jupyter notebooks. Every week on Tuesdays, there is a face-to-face event in which the participants are invited, on the one hand, to deal with questions posed by the lecturers and also to discuss these in the group, and on the other hand, to contribute with their own questions, which are discussed. The course concludes in the first week after the end of the lecture with an attendance exercise block (13 February 2023 to 17 February 2023, full day, with breaks). The examination will take place afterwards, most likely in oral form.
