Request for a retest (Resit)

Application for a retake exam (Wiederholungsprüfung)

I have failed my exam and hereby apply for a retake of the (partial) exam for course:

Please note:
1. An exam must always be retaken at the next possible date. This is the offical resit date for the current semester stipulated by the Language Centre.

2. ONLY students at the University of Kassel who have the ECTS CREDITED to their degree programme are entitled to apply for a resit.

3. In derogation from point 2, applications for a resit of exams taken to complete a UNIcert® level (= UNIcert® I, Part 4, German UNIcert® II, English UNIcert® II, Part 3, separate UNIcert® III exam) can be made regardlessby of status. However, a fee of €30 (resp. €72 for external guests) is due for all persons not mentioned under 2.

4. At the Language Center there is no possibility of retaking a passed exam or passed parts of the exam in order to improve the grade. If your request was approved, you could only retake the part(s) in which you failed.

If we can approve your request, we will send you a registration code for the next possible exam date. You must then use this code to register for the exam immediately and within the deadline (by 3 weeks before the resit date).

You can find the "Resit" course in the course offering under the respective language.

If we are unable to admit you to the exam, you will also be notified by mail.
