Writing coaching for student teachers

The writing coaching is aimed at teacher training students who are at the beginning of their exam work at Faculty 02, 05 or in the core study program, are aiming for the autumn 2026 or spring 2027 examination campaign and would like to experience writing as a group.

It is designed to run throughout the semester and offers input on writing, individual consultations and, above all, lots of collaborative writing time.

The three program points are:

• a. Kick-off workshop: finding or refining topics of interest, planning the writing process, getting to know the group and exchanging ideas with graduates
• b. during the semester break: group writing days (online and in person) and individual writing coaching sessions
• c. Final workshop: reflection on the writing process, readjustment and celebration of milestones achieved on the way to submission.

In all phases of the semester program, students work on their academic term paper.

The offer is free of charge with the support of the Center for Teacher Education at the University of Kassel. Please register for the writing coaching via the course catalog and note the registration modalities in the course commentary. It is not possible to participate in only individual program points of the writing coaching. No credits or key competencies will be awarded for participation. As places are limited to 20, places will be allocated by the deadline of January 7, 2026, based on the proportionate admission of students from Departments 02, 05 and the core study program.
