How much time do I need to invest? - This is difficult to answer in general terms. If you know exactly what you want to ask, then the actual technical implementation (questionnaire and survey creation) will probably take around 30-60 minutes.

Who will see my evaluation data? - The EvaSys software and our structure within the software ensure that only you have access to your data (apart from technically necessary system and department administrators). In particular, supervisors or members of the department/deanery do not have access. You therefore have unrestricted data sovereignty. However, you are of course free to forward your evaluation data to your dean's office.

How long has the Toolbox been around? - The toolbox was developed as part of PRONET² (second funding phase of the Teacher Education Quality Initiative) from 2019 and was used publicly at the university for the first time in the summer semester of 2022.

Is the toolbox a permanent offer? Is it worth familiarizing yourself with it? - Yes, it is worth familiarizing yourself with it. The toolbox is designed to give teachers in teacher training the opportunity to further develop their teaching based on data in the long term.

Can I delegate the administration? - One claim of the toolbox is that the teachers themselves have data sovereignty. It is therefore not possible for third parties to create questionnaires or surveys using their own accounts. However, if you allow third parties access to your account, questionnaires and surveys can also be created by assistants, for example.

I would like to add to the toolbox. Can I do that? - Every user has the option of adding their own questions/items to the questionnaire. The predefined questions/items can also be adapted and changed as required. The toolbox is an offer that can and should be customized. A major advantage is that you can use the questionnaires you have created repeatedly or develop them further.

When do I have to carry out the teaching evaluation? - There is no obligation to carry out this evaluation at a specific time. You are completely free to choose whether and when you carry out this teaching evaluation. If you are interested, you can also use the toolbox to evaluate a course several times during the semester.

What is the relationship between the toolbox and the central teaching evaluation? - The teaching evaluation with the toolbox is a voluntary supplement to the central teaching evaluation. If you would like to combine the two evaluations, please contact Mr. Vogel.
