Support for International PhD Candidates from Foreign Universities
The University of Kassel offers support for international graduates/PhD candidates from Foreign Universities, so-called “Kontaktstipendium”. Professors acting as mentors/supervisors can extend an invitation to the University of Kassel to PhD candidates/graduates for a maximum of six months.
Requirements:
- Supporting letter/invitation of a mentor/supervising professor of the University of Kasse
- Please note that the application for funding has to be submitted by the mentoring professor, candidates cannot apply by directly
Financial Support:
- 800 € per month for up to 3 months; funding may be extended upon application for up to 6 months
Application Documents:
The application has to be submitted by the mentoring professor and must contain the following documents:
- Application by the mentoring professor with a description of the objectives of the stay and the intended duration
- Description of the (planned) PhD project (max. 1 page)
- Curriculum Vitae
- Duly completed Attachment
Applications can be submitted in either German or English by e-mail.
Application Deadline: Applications should be handed in at least 6 weeks prior to the planned stay
