Another special program organized by GradZ is the so-called "Projektstudium" which has been offered to students across all faculties since the summer semester of 2012. The idea is, however, not new; various study projects have already been taken place since the winter semester of 2017/08 under the heading  "solar campus - energy efficiency at the University of Kassel".

The aim of the  "Projektstudium" is to expand and improve the typical course catalogue through practice-oriented course work. As a consequence, students do not only acquire and reflect on their expert knowledge, but also learn how apply it in an active, independent and responsible manner.

The University of Kassel offers as a micro system many opportunities to implement sustainability projects on campus. By involving students in the development of a sustainable campus, the "Projektstudium" strengthens their environmental awareness as well as their understanding of the importance and challenges of sustainable management and resource conservation. The "Projektstudium" is open to students from different faculties and is offered every semester. Course duration ranges from one to two semesters; credit points and marks can be accounted for in the individual study plans. Furthermore, the "Projektstudium" is credited for the UmweltWissen certificate and the Environmental Law certificate.

The following projects are being offered

Addtional ideas for further projects are welcome not only from the faculties but also from the students themselves. GradZ and the Environmental Profile will be in charge of the organization.
