Day seminar: Right-wing historical revisionism: country examples, interdisciplinary perspectives, challenges for a critical-democratic pedagogy

We cordially invite you to the kick-off event of the knowledge network "Umkämpfte Geschichte(n): Interdisciplinary memory research in the context of global, anti-democratic backlashes" on December 17 and 18 in Kassel.

With the new network, we would like to jointly analyze and discuss current conflicts in the culture of remembrance, right-wing shifts in discourse and challenges to democratic education from an international perspective.

The network examines current conflicts surrounding the culture of remembrance and the politics of history in Germany, Argentina and Spain. It is funded by the "Strengthening Democracy Research in Hesse" program of the Hessian Ministry of Science and Research, Art and Culture.

The event is open to the public, but prior registration is required.
