Participation stand "DIY conspiracy theories" | FB02 University of Kassel

We had the opportunity to present our DFG project with a small stand at the "Semesteranfangsumtrunk" for the winter semester 2023/24 of Faculty 02 of the University of Kassel. We chose a special form of interactive presentation to familiarize the members of the department with the basic narrative structure of conspiracy theories: all visitors to the stand were invited to get creative themselves and develop conspiracy theory narratives. Based on the three basic constituents "plot", "actors" and "cui bono?", prepared slips of paper were available, which could either be drawn blindly or specifically selected and grouped into conspiracy theories. They could also write down their own ideas or insert them into prepared cloze texts. Our favorite: "Mrs. Ebner is secretly growing strawberries on the roof of KW5 - and the dean's office has known about it all along!"
