Lecture: Vanessa-Nadine Sternath & Prof. Dr. Michael Mecklenburg: Intersectionality

Gender structures all areas of our society. Gender studies examines the significance of the category of gender for the social order of a society, inequalities in gender relations and the construction, appropriation and displacement of gender difference. The analyses and social science approaches of gender studies encompass an exciting interdisciplinary field.

The lecture is an interdisciplinary course with an introductory character to various theoretical perspectives of gender studies. The lectures are accompanied by a tutorial in which in-depth texts are discussed, which are made available in a Moodle course.
