In view of the increasing political significance of disinformation campaigns, the planned workshop will focus on the potential of literature lessons for training a more critical reading attitude towards half-truths. Specifically, we will look at the phenomenon of 'half-truths' from the perspectives of literary studies and literary didactics in order to explore the extent to which aesthetic works can contribute to the formation of a more differentiated view that can - ideally - help us to better recognize fake news and the like in our media-influenced everyday reality.
