Workshop as part of the project 'Umkämpfte Geschichte(n)

One-day seminar on 18.12.2025 from 9.00 - 16.00 h (Kurt-Wolters-Str. 5, Room 4048)
The seminar will examine right-wing shifts in discourse, interdisciplinary approaches to analyzing historical revisionism and the challenges of democratic education in the digital age. Contributions will come from researchers and actors from political education, media education and memorial work. The network examines current conflicts surrounding the culture of remembrance and the politics of history in Germany, Argentina and Spain. It is funded by the "Strengthening Democracy Research in Hesse" program of the Hessian Ministry of Science and Research, Art and Culture.

The event is aimed at academics, educational practitioners and civil society actors.
