Contested history(ies): Kick-off at Uni:Lokal in pictures

We would like to thank everyone who took part in the opening event of the project Umkämpfte Geschichte(n), which took place on December 17 and 18, 2025 at the University of Kassel. The exchange of ideas, questions and perspectives during the opening event on December 17 (project presentation, conversation with Prof. Till Rössler from Cologne about his Franco biography, panel discussion, greeting by Timon Gremmels, foreword by Ferran Ferrando Melià, Cervantes Institute Frankfurt and many others) and the workshop on December 18 highlighted the importance of a joint, critical examination of conflicts in the culture of memory and the challenges of revisionist discourses in an international comparative perspective.
