The Romance Quartet discusses: Yasmina Reza The Reverse Side of Life (2025)

Yasmina Reza became famous worldwide with plays such as "The God of Carnage" and "Art". Court reports from 15 years have now been published under the title "The Reverse Side of Life" - a brilliant testimony to her powers of observation. On Wednesday, 28.01.2026 at 7 pm at the Literaturhaus Kassel (Salon des Palais Bellevue), the Romance Quartet will discuss what we can learn about French society, but also about human behavior in general.

The "quartet members" Agnieszka Komorowska, Christine Pflüger, Jörg Requate, Sabine Ruß-Sattar and Jan Witthaus are academics from the University of Kassel and will each present the works selected for their particular current relevance from their different specialist perspectives (history, literature, historical didactics, social sciences) and then discuss them in an open round - with you!
