Und ich war Feridun Zaimoglu (D 2023) is the third film to accompany the annual Kassel Grimm Poetry Professorship. In this experimental film, the Kiel-based author Feridun Zaimoglu reads passages from his fictional inaugural lecture. He reflects on storytelling, writing and taking on roles: "On paper, I was not only a criminal nature [...] I was the fall into dreams". Director Thomas Henkes stages just such a plunge into bizarre (dream) worlds for moviegoers.
The film premiere takes place in cooperation with the Literaturhaus Kassel. Stefanie Kreuzer (Univ. Kassel) will host the event with a panel discussion, cast and crew of the film including a reading by Feridun Zaimoglu.
