Kick-off event and project presentation of the Umkämpfte Geschichte(n) knowledge network

Cordial invitation to the kick-off event of the Knowledge Network "Contested History(ies)Interdisciplinary memory research in the context of global, anti-democratic backlashes" on December 17 and 18 in Kassel.

With the new network, we would like to jointly analyze and discuss current conflicts in the culture of remembrance, right-wing shifts in discourse and challenges to democratic education from an international perspective.

The network examines current conflicts surrounding the culture of remembrance and the politics of history in Germany, Argentina and Spain. It is funded by the program "Strengthening Democracy Research in Hesse" of the Hessian Ministry of Science and Research, Arts and Culture.
