Field Trip to EAM (Communications Department)

EAM is the regional energy partner for approximately 1.4 million people across large parts of Hesse, southern Lower Saxony, and parts of North Rhine-Westphalia, Thuringia, and Rhineland-Palatinate. As a 100 percent municipally owned company, EAM ensures a reliable supply of electricity and gas. With innovative concepts, EAM is driving the energy transition forward and actively supports counties, municipalities, businesses, and residential customers in implementing energy projects in the region. The municipally owned energy provider employs approximately 2,000 employees at 24 locations.

During the field trip, you’ll learn more about the communications department of a business of this size. Which communication channels are used to engage with stakeholders, the press, and Employees? How are topics from the dynamic energy sector effectively communicated to the public in an understandable way? And what skills do you need to succeed in public relations?

In addition to addressing these questions, you’ll also gain insights into personal career paths. Press spokespeople Sandra Hübner and Steffen Schulze, as well as social media manager Lisa Hanke, will be happy to discuss these topics with you.

The field trip will take place on November 18, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The meeting point is at 9:50 a.m. directly at the entrance to EAM Kassel (Monteverdistr. 2, 34131 Kassel).

To prepare, all participants are asked to familiarize themselves with the excursion’s destination. Think about the professional field and come up with questions you can ask during the on-site discussion.
