Discover Your Own Potential • Set Career Goals • Apply Successfully

The transition from college to your first job is exciting and comes with its share of challenges. This workshop provides a framework for guidance, discussion, and inspiration to help you develop concrete and realistic goals for starting your career.
The focus is on your own skills and interests. What skills do you have, and how can you apply them in your professional life? What ideas and goals do you have, and how can you develop a concrete career plan? Building on this, our focus is on implementing your career plan. How do you find suitable job openings, and which application strategy will lead to the success you desire?

Schedule
10 a.m. – 12 p.m.:
Identifying potential and describing career ideas: What do I bring to the table? Where am I drawn?
We begin with a structured work session—the potential analysis—and discuss the resulting ideas for starting a career.

12:00–1:00 p.m.: Break and time for reflection

1:00–4:00 p.m.:
From an idea to a concrete plan. My job application strategy.
Building on the ideas from the morning, we’ll move toward implementation and concrete next steps. Keynote presentations on job searching and the employer’s perspective will be combined with ample opportunity for discussion and further development of your personal plan for entering the workforce.

This in-person workshop is organized in cooperation with Faculty 05 and the university team from the Employment Agency and is aimed at students from Faculties 02 and 05. The event will take place on December 11, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Seminar Room 4 at the Campus Center.
