Röver Foundation: Promotion of young scientists

Funding in kind for the promotion of young academics in the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Kassel from the Barbara und Alfred Röver-Stiftung

Thanks to a donation by Mr. Alfred Röver (Kassel), the Faculty of Humanities has the opportunity to award material grants to promote young academics in the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Kassel.

Applications are open to young academics (doctoral candidates and postdocs) from the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Kassel. Funding is available, for example, for archive or research trips, costs for empirical surveys, etc. Subsequent funding of projects already completed at the time of application is excluded.

Each application comprises a dossier in the form of a single PDF file. It contains:

    • Letter of application and curriculum vitae in tabular form of the applicant,
    • a brief description with a cost calculation of the project for which funding is requested,
    • a copy of the admission to doctoral studies at the University of Kassel; in the case of PostDocs, a copy of an informal confirmation of supervision from the first supervisor,
    • a statement from the supervisor of the qualification thesis or another reference person.

    Submission of project proposals:

The online application should be sent to the e-mail address dekanat02[at]uni-kassel[dot]de. Each applicant will receive an electronic confirmation of receipt. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Upon receipt, each application will be reviewed by the foundation's advisory board, which will make the final decision on the awarding of funding.

The next deadlines for submitting project proposals are

    May 15, 2024

    November 15, 2024

After the respective deadline, the advisory board meets and decides on the allocation of funds.

The statutes for awarding the Barbara and Alfred Röver-Stiftung Prize dated 25.11.2015 regulate the procedure.

When publishing funded research results, appropriate reference must be made to the support provided by the Barbara and Alfred Röver-Stiftung.
