Bio
From 2014 to 2018, I studied Primary Education with a focus on German, Mathematics, and English at the University of Kassel. My thesis was titled: “Bilingual Teaching and Learning in Primary Education – An Empirical Study on the Conception, Implementation, and Practice of the Concept at the Swiss International School in Kassel.”I completed my studies with the First State Examination in June 2019. I undertook my teacher training (Referendariat) at the Albanischule in Göttingen, where I also completed further training in German as a Second Language. I passed the Second State Examination in January 2020.
Since February 2020, I have been teaching at the Carl-Anton-Henschel School in Kassel, where I serve as class teacher, English teacher, staff council representative, and member of the school development coordination team. Our school’s development focuses on narrative and descriptive assessment (instead of numerical grades) and the thematic priority “Language and Community.”
In teacher education, I have worked as a mentor for university students completing their English teaching placements, as well as for trainee teachers. During the winter semester 2022/23, I held a teaching assignment at the University of Kassel and led a subject didactics seminar on methodology and didactics in primary foreign language teaching. Since August 2023, I have been working as an academic staff member at the University of Kassel in the field of foreign language teaching and learning research, responsible for subject didactics seminars and the supervision of School Practice Studies II (SPS II).
