Bio

In 2002, I began my teacher training in English and Catholic Religion (L3) at the University of Kassel. I spent a semester abroad at the University of Surrey, UK (2003), and completed a teaching internship in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada (2006). From 2006–2007, I worked as a student assistant in the ADEQUA research project on foreign language education and intercultural communication at Uni Kassel. I was also active in the International Student Tutoring Program from 2005–2010.

After earning my First State Exam in 2008, I completed my teacher training at Ursulinenschule Fritzlar, passing the Second State Exam in 2010. Since then, I have taught at various schools, and since 2011, I have been a senior teacher at Friedrich-List-Schule Kassel, teaching English and bilingual Catholic Religion at upper secondary level, including Abitur exams. I have served as Head of the Religion Department since 2011 and led the English Department from 2013–2018.

My teaching experience also includes vocational education and mentoring pre-service teachers in cooperation with Stephan Mason (University of Kassel). Since 2017, I have held a teaching position in School Practice Studies II and, since 2022, work as an academic staff member of the chair.
