Development and Post­co­lo­nial Stud­ies

According to a common definition, development policy consists of measures that are officially trying to improve living conditions in “less developed” countries. Postcolonial Studies examine the aftermath of colonialism in discourses and practices after its formal ending. Investigating colonial patterns of present-day development policy links both aspects of the research area.
