On June 3, 2026, it was that time of year again, and the Institute for Sports and Sports Science welcomed 109 motivated applicants to its annual sports aptitude test. The program included various disciplines in the areas of endurance (Cooper test), explosive strength, and gymnastics. In addition, the applicants were tested in various team sports as well as on their coordination and physical fitness.
Ms. Kristina Isermann, the lead coordinator, welcomed the prospective students that morning at the Aueparkhalle. Numerous student volunteers once again helped create a positive atmosphere, actively supporting the new sports students during the aptitude test and guiding them through the individual stations.
At the end of the strenuous day, 67 participants successfully completed the aptitude test. On June 19, 2026, 33 applicants successfully demonstrated their athletic aptitude once again during the retest.
A big thank you goes to the faculty, the student council, and the many student volunteers who ensured that the fitness test ran smoothly and was well organized.
The Institute for Sports and Sports Science congratulates all incoming freshmen who successfully completed the 2026 athletic aptitude test and looks forward to welcoming them to Kassel in the 2026–2027 winter semester.
