First semester welcome in the winter semester

On Tuesday, October 16 and Wednesday, October 17, 2012, the faculty of the IfSS welcomed the new student class. The event was opened by the Managing Director Prof. Dr. Volker Scheid. After a warm welcome, he pointed out the advantages of studying sport in Kassel to the 120 'newcomers', while at the same time focusing on the demands placed on sport students. The entire faculty gave a brief insight into their areas of responsibility in both teaching and research. Prof. Dr. Armin Kibele and, in particular, Dr. Andreas Albert informed the students about a possible course of study and the relevant subjects in the first semesters. The first semester didactic courses in sports studies went smoothly for the first semester students, so that everyone was able to get a place and the first semester in sports studies can begin promisingly.

The IfSS staff wish the students a good and successful start to their sports studies at the University of Kassel.
