Zur Person

Dr. Stefan Beck is a contract lecturer for ‘Global Political Economy’ at the University of Kassel since 2005. He studied Political Science and Economics at the Freie Universität Berlin. From 2003 to 2005 he worked as a research fellow in the project ‘The East German metalworking Industry in the context of globalization’ at the University of Kassel. His Ph.D. thesis was about the historical and economic development of German mercantilism after the Second World War. His research interests include Political Economy, Varieties of Capitalism and international economic relations. Most recent research is about trade agreements, in particular the ‘Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP)’.
