Zur Person

Dr. Melehat Kutun is a Philip Schwartz Initiative fellowships in International Center for Development and Decent Work, University of Kassel, and one of the editors of the Praksis Journal. She has a PhD in Political and Social Science from the Gazi University in Ankara/Turkey. She was a visiting PhD student in University of York for one and half year in York/UK, funded by the Turkish Higher Education Council. She was a visiting lecturer in the University of York for a year for post-doctoral studies. She was a visiting researcher in FMSH Paris/ FRA for 3 months. She has taught at the Gazi University, Mersin University and University of Kassel. She is currently studying on her habilitation project at Politics Department, University of Kassel with the titled of “The Socio-genesis of the Capitalist State Power: On the Gendered and Racialized Formation of Migrant Labour Regime in Germany”.
