Digitale Bauprozesse - Robotic Fabrication

3D Printing of Structural Optimized Parts

Sommersemester 2025
Betreuung | Prof. Philipp Eversmann
Wiss. Mitarbeitende | M. Sc. Julian Ochs

AIM

This seminar provides basic knowledge for architectural design and production with industrial robots. How can we use our digital models and drawings for subsequent digital assembly or production? What is needed to instruct a robot arm to perform tasks that involve movement and actions such as picking, placing or printing objects? What information must be included in the model or drawing and how must it be translated so a robot controller can understand it?

TOPIC

This semester, tools for structural optimization and principal stresses are used to produce small-scale optimized ceiling elements with 3D printing of biomaterial. These elements will then be tested for structural performance.
