To strengthen the scholarly exchange among academics about the variety of European traditions, systems and experiences in urban regeneration, the Working Group for Urban Regeneration at German-Speaking Universities (Arbeitskreis Stadterneuerung an deutschsprachigen Hochschulen) will held its first conference in English. It is held on 3rd and 4th of March 2022 as an online-only event. A special focus is placed on recent developments that are characterized by a political environment oscillating between neoliberal tendencies and a retightening of state control over urban development.

The conference Programm comprises seven thematic panels and a panel discussion with 34 speakers presenting case studies and further analysis from twelve European countries.
