Experience vocational training: Successful study information days at IBB
On February 18, 2025, the Institute for Vocational Education and Training (IBB) presented itself at the University of Kassel's Study Information Days with an interactive and informative stand. The focus was on the Institute's three degree programs: Business Education, Vocational Education for Metal and Electrical Engineering and Vocational Education for Health, the latter in cooperation with Fulda University of Applied Sciences.
In addition to traditional counseling sessions and lectures, we once again relied on the playful approach of Lego Serious Play. Prospective students had the opportunity to creatively present their individual visions of their studies and careers using Lego elements and talk directly to our team. This resulted in inspiring models that reflect a wide range of future perspectives - from innovative learning environments and visionary job profiles to their own professional development processes.
A special highlight were the presentations by academic advisor Ana Molina Fuentes and Prof. Dr. Michael Goller as well as Tobias Dorn, representing Fulda University of Applied Sciences, who offered deeper insights into the individual degree programs. They provided information about the focus of the courses, possible career paths and the didactic concepts that characterize the IBB.
There were also numerous discussions with prospective students after the presentations. Our team and contact persons from HS Fulda were on hand to answer individual questions and provide initial guidance. Many of those present were able to gain a clearer picture of their study options, and we are pleased that we were able to arouse the interest of some in a future in vocational training.
The study information days were therefore a complete success and showed once again how important an interactive and personal approach to choosing a course of study is. We would like to thank everyone involved and look forward to more exciting encounters - at the latest at the next Study Information Days in February 2026 or at the Campus Festival 2026!
