Research focus areas

Endorsing both empirical and theoretical research, we advance insight into topics such as (1) the education and training, career patterns and role perceptions of public servants with a particular focus on ministerial departments and agencies, (2) political-administrative relations, (3) policy advisory systems and (4) public sector reforms and organizational change with a particular focus on better regulation, de-bureaucratization and digitalization. We reach out to a broad audience by presenting our findings at international conferences and publishing articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals as well as in fora open to a wider public.
