The WISE team was represented at DESRIST 25 with a contribution. The DESRIST 2025 conference took place under the motto "Local Solutions for Global Challenges" from 2 to 4 June 2025 in Montego Bay, Jamaica, and was organized by the University of the West Indies. The focus was on design solutions for social challenges through digital innovations.

Sophia Meywirth, Andreas Janson & Matthias Söllner - Designing for Trust: Integrating Self-referencing in Large Language Model-Based Health Coaching
(June 2, Springer, pp. 296-309)
This research investigates how self-referential content in LLM-based health coaching influences users' trust and their perception of anthropomorphism. In an experimental design (PLS-SEM + qualitative evaluation), a double effect was identified: While professional self-references increase trust via increased anthropomorphism, overly personal statements can decrease trust. Based on the results, concrete design principles for trust-promoting AI-supported coaching systems were derived.
