On April 28, 2026, Sven Klee successfully defended his dissertation entitled "Improving Data-driven Management of Procurement and Supply Chain Challenges in the Automotive Industry - An Empirical Process Model for Developing Strategic Data Analytics Competency".

In his work, he examined key competencies for data-driven management in general and specifically in automotive procurement and the supply chain. A particular focus was on the role of data and its usability as a decisive input factor for data-based activities. In addition, he analyzed the practical implementation of data-driven approaches in organizations and highlighted the associated real-world challenges.

After the successful disputation, Sven Klee, who was an external doctoral student at the chair, was honored with a doctoral hat. This hat, designed by colleagues and commented on and presented by Prof. Dr. Jan Marco Leimeister, represents shared experiences and special features during the newly completed doctorate.
