The position is initially limited until 31.12.2026 (qualification position according to § 2 Abs. 1 Satz 1 WissZeitVG). The opportunity for doctoral studies is given and will be actively promoted personally by the head of the department.

 

Your tasks:

  • Scientific collaboration in research and teaching in the field of business informatics and system development
  • Independent work in a research area that can be freely chosen within the scope of the research interests of the department. Possible topics are:
    o Trust in and effective use of information systems
    o Digital learning innovations, e.g. AI-based learning systems or chat / voicebots
    o Collaboration of human and artificial intelligence in business environments or in learning (Hybrid Intelligence)
  • Scientific cooperation in the project "Flexible and individual promotion of professional and interdisciplinary competencies through socio-technical design of systems of hybrid intelligence" within the framework of the federal-state initiative for the promotion of artificial intelligence in higher education. If interested, a doctoral degree can also be obtained in the subject area of this project.

 

Prerequisites:

  • Academic university degree with at least good grades in Information Systems, Economics, (Business) Psychology, Human Computer Interaction, Business Administration, Computational Linguistics, Educational Technology or related fields. The required degree must be received no later than the date of hire.
  • Strong social and communication skills, initiative, motivation, high sense of responsibility, ability to work in a team and very good organizational skills.
  • Enthusiasm for high-quality research
  • Openness to work in interdisciplinary projects and willingness to cooperate nationally and internationally with partners in science and practice
  • Very good knowledge of German and English

 

Advantageous are:

  • Initial experience in relevant research methods (e.g., methods of empirical social research or design-oriented research methods)
  • Initial experience in the development of chatbots and/or in the application of NLP approaches and (advanced) programming skills in Python
  • Innovative ideas that can be contributed in the context of helping to design a new degree program
